Reborn, My Sister and I Switched Our Bonded Flowers

At the coming-of-age ceremony my younger sister and I shared, the Flower Goddess gave each of us a companion flower.

She said that if we nurtured our flowers with care and formed a pact with their spirits, we could become immortals.

My sister snatched the Netherworld Black Lotus, the foremost of the ancient divine lotuses, leaving me with the Merit Golden Lotus, which was notoriously difficult to bond with.

But she never expected that the Netherworld Black Lotus would be easy to raise and just as easy to betray its master.

On the very night my sister formed her pact with it, it dug out her inner core and fled to the Demon Realm to become its demon king.

I nourished the Merit Golden Lotus with my heart’s blood for three hundred years. At last, it formed a pact with me, and I ascended to Buddhahood.

Jealous of me, my sister lied that our mother was gravely ill. When I went to visit, she tricked me into drinking a potion that destroyed my immortality.

She locked me in a dungeon and tortured me for seven days. In the end, I bled to death.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day we received our companion flowers.

My sister snatched my flower, but I didn’t chase after her.

What she didn’t expect was that later, both divine lotuses would fight for the chance to make me their master.
