I Accidentally Became His Underling

Lingyue, the largest assassin-training organization in high society, recently welcomed a rookie named Yuanyue under the leadership of its executive director, Duan Zhixuan. Though Yuanyue made a name for herself through her scheming, Duan Zhixuan still gave her the best resources. He refused to let anyone else at Lingyue bully her, always keeping her under his protection. After witnessing her abilities, he devoted himself to training her until she became Lingyue's finest female assassin. But as Yuanyue took on more and more assignments, Duan Zhixuan's expectations kept rising. Even when the organization's headquarters threw her a celebration banquet, he remained dissatisfied with her and even hauled her home by force to discipline her all over again. Duan Zhixuan said, "If I'm not strict with you, what am I supposed to do when you end up dead at someone else's hands?" Duan Zhixuan had never understood love. His love was suffocating. But after meeting Yuanyue, he changed. Setup: A powerful man and a capable woman, in a story about an assassin trainer falling for his female subordinate.
