After the Divorce, My Ex-Wife Cried as She Had My Second Child

To clean up the mess left by the project her first love had ruined, my five-month-pregnant wife volunteered to attend a drinking party. They made her down bottle after bottle of baijiu, and we lost our baby.

I held the baby's ashes, ready to lay them to rest, while she kept her head down, replying to her first love's messages without a care in the world.

"We can have another baby. If he gets fired, his whole future will be ruined. Don't worry. Once I've recovered, I'll give you a chubby little baby right away."

But she didn't know that I was already utterly disappointed. I never wanted to swallow another one of her empty promises.

When she saw me take out the divorce papers, she panicked and begged me through her tears not to leave.
