【144-Hour Visa-Free Entry for Foreigners + Chinese Food Makes Them Drool + Modern China Leaves Them Stunned + Foreigners Never Want to Leave】 Scarlett, an overseas video creator, gained millions of followers by badmouthing China. To turn things around, Li Hua, an intern at China’s tourism bureau, invites Scarlett to visit China and see it for herself. As it happens, China has just introduced a 144-hour entry policy for foreign visitors. Before setting off, Scarlett boasts that she’ll show everyone the real, backward China. The moment she arrives, Scarlett is stunned by the magnificent Daxing International Airport. “Is this really China? No way. Absolutely no way!” Li Hua smiles. “This is nothing. Daxing Airport is just average by Chinese standards. You’ll see once we get out!” In the capital, Li Hua takes Scarlett to see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, and to sample the city’s local snacks. When her 144 hours are up, Scarlett drops to one knee and pulls out a ring. “Dear Li, can I get Chinese ID if I marry you?”
