Synopsis

How do people outside the family see the Ogata siblings? The older brother, Yu Ogata, is mildly socially awkward. The younger sister, Aoi Ogata, is a social butterfly to the extreme. One is honest and quiet. The other is dishonest and talkative. But once you’ve spent enough time with them, you’ll realize they’re both putting on quite an act. In sixth grade, Yu transferred from America to Japan with his younger sister, Aoi Ogata. After watching Rikkai Dai’s showdown with Makino Fuji in the National Tournament, Yu decided to join Rikkai Dai and take down “the great demon king” Makino Fuji, the two-time defending champion. But as soon as he joined the tennis club, a squinty-eyed classmate half-coaxed, half-forced him into challenging a senior. Yu had already been guaranteed a spot among the regulars, but after he was forced onto the court, he saw an “angel” on the sidelines smiling at him and cheering him on, along with a boy telling him not to let his guard down. He froze completely. ☆ A beginner taking their first steps. I say what I want, I’m not thin-skinned, and I’ll learn as the mood strikes. ☆ Rikkai Dai will win sixteen straight Kanto Tournament titles and three consecutive championships. ☆ I’ll figure out the pairing later. They’re too young for that right now. ☆ A perfect person has no character traits. (I’m mainly trying to prevent OOC characterization.) ☆ There are quite a few personal interpretations. (This is an ensemble story.) ☆ I like Echizen Ryoma but dislike Seigaku. (Mostly because they push Tezuka too hard, and the coach is about as useful as a (* ) snack.) ☆ There won’t be much romance at first!!! ☆ The early chapters include some everyday moments with the protagonist. Chapter 6 covers the national tournament with the Phoenix generation, and he officially enrolls in Chapter 19.
