The Melody of the Child of God

At the opening ceremony of his first year of high school, Yukimura Seiichi, the “Child of God” on the tennis court, falls in love at first sight with a girl quietly painting by the window, Fujiwara Ochiru. Her gentle presence and the way she loses herself in the world of art leave an unforgettable mark on his heart.

Fujiwara Ochiru loves the violin and painting, and at first pays little attention to this famous figure on campus. But Yukimura uses art as common ground, gently yet determinedly making his way into her world: lending her a treasured art book, “happening” to hear the violin music she plays in private, and supporting her whenever she needs him.

Two parallel lines gradually converge. As the passion of tennis meets the grace of art, and strength encounters gentleness, a youthful romance begins to unfold on the Rikkai Dai campus beneath a shower of spring cherry blossoms. This is a heartwarming story of the “Child of God” and his light, drawn to one another and healing each other.
