Synopsis

[Emperor + Feel-Good Story + Beauties + Rise to Power + Court Intrigue + Love for the People] The year was 192 AD, the third year of Chuping in the Eastern Han dynasty. That year, Dong Zhuo was killed by Wang Yun. Li Jue and Guo Si stormed Chang'an, and the emperor changed hands several times. That year, Yuan Shao and Gongsun Zan clashed at Jie Bridge, and the White Horse General suffered defeat after defeat. That year, Cao Cao incorporated the Qingzhou Army and seized Yanzhou, gaining both territory and population. That year, Liu Bei was still serving under Gongsun Zan, while Sun Jian campaigned in Jingzhou and was shot dead by Huang Zu's soldiers. That year, the warlords carved up the land and waged war against one another. That year, natural and man-made disasters left the people in unbearable misery. That year, a man from a later age transmigrated into Liu Xie, a man destined to spend his life as a puppet emperor. But he had no intention of being a puppet emperor, nor would he allow the Five Barbarians to ravage China and the people to flee south in later generations. He would not let the great clans rule the land, with high office forever closed to commoners and the people denied any chance to rise. I inherit the four-hundred-year legacy of Emperor Gaozu and carry on Emperor Guangwu's ambition to restore the Han. I will raise the Han to greatness for a third time. I will restore the glorious Han dynasty, and spread its banners across the land. I will bring peace and stability to the realm, and put an end to war. I will ensure the common people have food and clothing in abundance. I will make every foreign kingdom come to pay tribute.

Three Kingdoms Stories: Not on Liu Bei's Side, and Close to the Records of the Three Kingdoms

I want stories based on the actual Three Kingdoms history, not Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Romance is just one big glorification of Zhuge Liang, which is hilarious. Preferably something recent, since I've read most of the older ones.
