Synopsis

Wine, women, and song: the pleasures of life! In the martial world, no one is free to do as they please! The story takes place during the Xuande era of the Ming dynasty. An overview of the events of the five years of Wen Qingtian's growth: At Zhu Zhanji's instigation, the martial arts sects fought an unprecedented civil war. The sects were left severely weakened, and the imperial court seized the opportunity to recruit martial artists on a massive scale, gradually gaining the upper hand over the forces of the martial world. One is a physician and musician who finds a worthy mentor and makes a name for himself. One is the young leader of the Thieves' Sect, whose ties to the imperial court have earned him a vile reputation. One is the young leader of the Kongtong Sect, one of the top martial arts sects. The three meet, each with their own thoughts and aims. What sparks will fly between them in the martial world? The people of the realm handle the affairs of the realm. Driven by self-interest, they scheme and plot together, yet each harbors ulterior motives, and even as they travel together, they doubt one another. In the end, it is not like the three of them, united in purpose, could roam the world together and never abandon one another, no matter the hardship. Please note! This novel is entirely fictional, and its historical events are mostly invented. Do not treat it as fact. Historians and geographers, please go easy on me! A fist salute to you all!!!!

Novels Set in the Ming Dynasty, No Chongzhen Emperor

I want historically rigorous stories, and the protagonist shouldn't be too overpowered. Nothing set in the late Ming under the Chongzhen Emperor.

Any Pure Wuxia Novels?

Any good martial arts stories? People hardly write wuxia these days. I miss it. Nowadays, everyone gets a System and cheats their way to immortality and godhood, with divine physiques and all that. I'm sick of it. It's so boring. I want to feel the thrill of roaming the world with a sword and settling scores with a sense of justice.

Looking for Purely Classical Martial Arts Stories, No Fantasy or Cultivation

I want a genuine wuxia novel, with no cultivation immortals or overpowered martial arts. A System or a golden finger is fine, either way. I’m looking for the kind where being able to lift a thousand jin makes you incredibly powerful. Nothing too ridiculous. A little over-the-top martial arts is okay, just not so extreme that people can dodge bullets.
