The Spring and Autumn Brush

Introduction to the classic wuxia novel <The Spring and Autumn Brush>:

The "Spring and Autumn Brush" appears once every ten years. Since its first appearance, it has shown up eight times, and there are still two years until it appears again. Each time it appears, someone is ruined. The villains exposed by the brush are shunned by the righteous and disdained even by other villains. As a result, the martial world falls into a period of calm.

Chu Xiaofeng, the seventh disciple of the "Wuji Sect," happens to earn the favor of the coachman Old Lu, the second-generation wielder of the Spring and Autumn Brush, who bestows on him the <Nameless Sword Manual>. The young hero first makes a name for himself by killing Second Young Master Jing during the battle that exposes the truth about the "Garden of Ten Thousand Flowers." Later, with the help of the Beggar Clan's Elder Huang and the Cloud Sect's leader, he establishes "Moonwelcoming Manor." Calling himself its master, Chu Xiaofeng makes no secret of his sharp edge, yet never kills the innocent. His aim is to draw out the mastermind who commands the forces of evil. As he slowly unravels the mystery, he repeatedly finds himself in mortal danger, only to escape each time through his intelligence and peerless martial arts. Handsome and carefree, Chu Xiaofeng wins the hearts of Green Lotus, Yellow Plum, and Red Peony, three women infamous for their wild ways, who are willing to reform for him. The innocent young Ouyang Peiyu is utterly smitten with him, and even Wen Feng, the evil organization’s "Second Master," is won over by his bearing and abandons the dark side to follow him.
