A story about women’s realities in the workplace at high-tech companies, and an inspiring journey that shows it’s better to hone your own abilities than rely on others.
After her family fell on hard times, Wu Qining rented out her ancestral home to pay for her education. After graduating and starting work, she was astonished to discover that the company’s owner was none other than Mr. Mu, her wealthy tenant.
Lingzhou Tech, where Wu Qining works, is a long-established high-tech company in Binhai. Just starting out in the working world, Wu Qining experiences a bizarre incident of workplace sexual harassment. Gradually shedding her youthful naivety, she cuts down one obstacle after another, growing alongside the company until she becomes a formidable force.
Yet the real world faced by a “domineering CEO” is a volatile, perilous place, fraught with pressure. The booming real estate sector eyes traditional manufacturing hungrily, while a sudden, massive order becomes the last straw. Mu Jun’s old illness flares up, leaving him critically ill and at death’s door. Thrust into the crisis, Wu Qining takes over the company, Lingzhou Tech, which is on the brink of collapse. Summoning every ounce of courage and intelligence she has, she fulfills the colossal order and preserves the legend and glory of Chinese manufacturing.
This book is so beautifully written, but there are no comments or ratings. I really don't understand. It's good to leave the first review to me. I really like the author's writing style. Allusions, poetry and history are easy to pick up. I don't know how to praise it for its poor language skills. I give it 9.9 Points because it is not long enough. I hope the author will publish more works. I will wait and see!
I was almost dissuaded by the introduction.
Is it miserable for women in the workplace? They are tougher than taking money with their palms facing up.
