Born to Be a Judge

As far back as I can remember, I have been the Judge in charge of the Book of Life and Death in the underworld.

Black and White Impermanence were always warning me never to fall in love, but I fell for a lonely ghost all the same and altered his fate.

He said he would come back and marry me.

Later, I was locked away in the Avici Hell, where karmic flames burned my soul without end. The pain was unbearable.

Yet he gently and tenderly held the innocent little goddess from the Ninth Heaven in his arms.

He said that everything in the past had only been a tribulation of love he was destined to undergo.

But he didn't know that a Judge must never fall in love.

Otherwise, the soul is destroyed, the path to immortality is lost, and there can be no rebirth.
