Any Two-Character Novel Titles with Red Covers?
I read a novel a long time ago. In my memory, the title was two characters, and the cover was bright red. What I remember very clearly is that, later in the story, the heroine said to an insignificant character, “Number 14, you’re my dog.” But I can’t find the book now.

Finished reading. After picking and excerpting more than 40,000 words, I found a few time errors, but overall there are no problems. This book can still be read by beginners who want to understand world history. I am also a beginner myself. Throughout the history of France, from the absurd Children's Crusade to the ruthless destruction of the French people by the Hundred Years' War, everything makes me shocked and sad... No matter which era, the most suffering people are the people. They are the ones who suffer, they are the ones who are massacred, and they are the ones who are suppressed. This makes me feel even more lucky to live in a peaceful era. After reading this book, I have a general understanding of the country of France. What touched me the most was the chapter about Joan of Arc. The French people fought for liberation. It happened that Joan stood up at this time. She thought she was fighting for the will of God, but she was only a 13-year-old girl at the time... The great Joan of Arc was burned to death by the British for heresy shortly after the Hundred Years War. She is simply a tragic national hero, but at the same time she also makes me admire her. She shouldered such a heavy responsibility at a young age and led the people to win the Hundred Years War. In her, I see all the spiritual qualities of a hero, smart and fearless, and not afraid of death... Such a person will accomplish great things no matter what era he is in, and will be missed by people. Her spirit is worth learning from.
This book takes us through the history and culture of France with vivid pictures and concise text. The author's description is fascinating and makes me feel like I am in that romantic country. The book also quotes the famous saying of Louis XIV, the "Sun King": "I am the country", which fully reflects his domineering power. All in all, this is a great book worth reading!
