The Soul-Chasing Courier

Shi Xiaoling graduated with a degree in civil engineering and joined a design firm. After his boss framed him, he lost his job, was slandered by a spiteful rival, and was blacklisted from the industry. Forced to deliver takeout, he received a delivery slip that seemed to spell his doom. Before he could deliver the food, he was hit by a vehicle and hospitalized. Later, he switched to package delivery, only to keep receiving more deadly delivery slips. It turned out he was a courier who could communicate with spirits. As the heir to the Soul-Calling and Spirit-Retrieval branch of a family that summons souls, he specializes in working with the Fate-Keeper clan to rescue the lost souls of city dwellers. Young and unconventional, he brings the Great Fate-Keeper to his knees in surrender. Later, he trades spells and feng shui techniques with Feng Xiaojun, a descendant of the Fate-Keeper clan, using his imagination and quick wits to make their clashes both lively and fun. Though it's called spirit-courier work, he is really a spirit chaser, or a ferryman for the souls lost in the city. He races the God of the Dark Night, snatching the souls and even the lives of the city's lost from the gates of death, helping people take back control of their time and become masters of their own time.
