General History of China (Collected Works of Lu Simian)

"General History of China" is the main result of Mr. Lu Simian's early exploration of modern Chinese history. It was written from the outbreak of the Opium War in 1848 to the end of the Anti-Japanese War. The book is divided into five parts, including Lecture Notes on Modern Chinese History, Prehistory of Modern China, Overview of Chinese History in the Past Hundred Years, Supplement on Modern Cultural History of China, and the Russo-Japanese War. Modern times are a period in which the Chinese people continue to resist imperialist aggression. It is also a period of important transformation in history. This transformation "has not yet been completed to this day." The author's purpose in writing this book is to speak out and arouse everyone to further resist aggression.
