KD Through the Roof, Who Taught You to Work Part-Time Like This?

Li Qingwu, a sophomore, works overseas during every summer and winter vacation, returning to China when school starts. But when he comes back from his summer job this time, he discovers that his sister has been kidnapped. Without a second thought, he sets off to hunt down the human traffickers. After destroying the traffickers’ hideout, he has no idea that a female reporter has livestreamed the whole thing back to China. He is arrested and interrogated as soon as he returns. Police: “Was it you who wiped out the local army in northern Myanmar with a mysterious force?” Li Qingwu: “Yeah. The pay was good, so I took the job.” “Why is your name in the top ten on the international hitman rankings? You’re actually number six! Your kill-death ratio is off the charts!” “Oh, that’s probably because I take too many side jobs.” “You blew up a military stronghold in a certain country whose name starts with ‘I’? You went all in with maximum firepower?” “They tried to steal the supplies we were transporting. They were asking for it. We had to bring the full firepower, or I’d lose my pay.” “Then tell us, why do you take jobs overseas?” “There aren’t any suitable side jobs at home. Besides, working overseas isn’t illegal.” He was right. No one could argue with that. “One last question: We want to recruit you. Would you be willing to come back and work for us?” Li Qingwu thought it over, then asked, “As long as the pay is right and you lift my travel ban, I’m in.”
