One night when Zheng An was six, she dreamed that a pie had fallen from the sky. Before it could land in her mouth, a dark shadow came crashing down on her, jolting her awake. Just as Zheng An began to think she would never come back, a new transfer student joined her class. She was said to have come from overseas, and her family background was shrouded in mystery.
