Xu Mingyue has a hard life. She feels like a walking corpse, unsure of what she wants and always sensing an emptiness inside. Then she meets Xie Meina, and her life begins to change quietly, as a ray of light shines in.

But the good times don’t last. Xie Meina dies unexpectedly in a car accident, and Xu Mingyue’s heart suddenly clenches with unbearable pain. Because Xie Meina had told her to live well, Xu Mingyue lives until the very end, only then saying to her, “Big Sister, I think I like you. I’m coming to find you.”

Given another life, she will hold on to Xie Meina. She absolutely will!

“Xie Meina” gazes at the crystalline little girl beneath the moonlight. This time, she doesn’t tell her mother-in-law, and they don’t choose a name together.

She has her own selfish reasons. Gently helping the little girl up from the ground, “Xie Meina” says tenderly, “May I call you Mingyue? You can take your big sister’s surname, Xu.”

“Okay.” The little girl raises her bright, dark eyes to look at the beautiful big sister holding her hand, then nods.

One day, the girl nervously approaches her with a book and whispers, “Big Sister, it turns out I’m a lotus! The book says we’re incredibly precious! Especially the ones that have become spirits. Every part of us is a treasure, and everyone wants to use us to make fish-head soup!”

Then, watching the petite girl shiver, she asks, “Big Sister, do you want to make soup out of me too?”

Xie Meina: “No. I just want to eat you right now.”

(This is my first novel. The beginning isn’t very good, but things will get much more exciting a little further on!)
