Synopsis

Life is like a dream, but is it truly just a dream? When I lived with the Yu family, I loved Dream of the Red Chamber above all. On long, quiet nights, I would idly turn through its pages; on rainy evenings or after the snow had cleared, I would invite two or three kindred spirits to talk about dreams within dreams, adding to the pleasures of tea and conversation. For a long time, I had been tempted to write a sequel, but never dared put pen to paper lightly. To imitate it by force would be like trying to fly without wings. Then I thought again: I have lived more than half my life. What has life not brought me? The dead are gone like flowing water, while the living grieve. So I sketched out sixteen chapters, with Miaoyu as the main character and Baoyu and Daiyu in supporting roles. I gave it to like-minded friends to read, and they were kind enough to praise it. After years of hard work, I have finally managed to bring it to a close. I know the paper is soiled and the ink is poor, and I am well aware it is hardly a fine work. In the end, the world is unpredictable, and I have written this simply to vent the frustrations of life. Even scraps of bamboo and wood may be gathered as useful timber, and horse dung and cow urine may serve as ingredients in medicine. If there is something here that can make a reader smile, and not feel like a thorn in the eye or a bone in the throat, then what greater honor could I ask for?

I Just Want to Experience Following a Story as It Updates. Any New Releases?

I love discussing books with other people. Reading feels less fun when I don't have anyone to talk about them with, so I'm looking for new books that lots of people are reading.

Looking for Purely Ancient-Era Stories with a Gentle, Refined Aristocratic Female Lead

No transmigration or rebirth. I've read too many stories where the female lead tramples scumbags and stages a comeback, so I want something different. Thanks, girls!

Any Stories With Lin Daiyu as the Heroine, Where She Never Has to Take Any Crap?

Today I came across a video recommending a story where Daiyu transmigrates into a book. Lin Daiyu ends up as the senior sister in a cultivation novel. When her master asks her to give her sword to her junior sister, she responds with a string of sarcastic remarks. It got me wondering if there are any stories like that. Stories based on *Dream of the Red Chamber* are fine too.

Please, I’m Begging for Proper Classical Cultivation Fantasy

Maybe it’s because society is developing too quickly and all kinds of System web novels have appeared. To relieve social pressure, feel-good power fantasies have become mainstream. There are fewer cultivation novels now, so I’m begging all the experts out there to recommend some books.
