I Earn Merit in the Mortal World

After Emperor Fengdu dies, the Underworld descends into chaos and countless evil ghosts escape.

Zhao Zhi happens to be lying in a burial ground when he unexpectedly discovers that he can accumulate merit.

From then on, Zhao Zhi's life becomes much more colorful.

A wisp of a soul drifts past him, and Zhao Zhi quickly waves it over. “Fellow Daoist, please wait. Don't you know that the living and the dead belong to different worlds, and that the dead should enter the cycle of reincarnation?”

The soul trembles. “I know all that. Could you at least let go of the hand around my neck first?”
