Journey to the West: From the Start, I Brainwashed Tang Sanzang

Eighty years ago, at Five Elements Mountain, Dongfang Ming told a monkey demon the story of a journey to fetch the scriptures.

Seventy years ago, at Fuling Mountain Cloud Stack Cave, he spent three days and three nights talking with a pig demon.

Sixty years ago, at Flowing Sand River, he lectured a man-eating monster about ideals and the meaning of life.

Thirty years ago, by a river in Chang'an, he found a baby about to drown. The baby's name was Jiang Liuer.

Years later, he became the Imperial Tutor of the Tang Dynasty, teacher to the whole world.

On this day, when he was a hundred years old, the dormant-for-eighty-years Scripture Journey System awakened.

That same day, a guard named Little Rock, a maid with white hair, and a pageboy with a mouth full of cheeky remarks all arrived.

And so, the journey to fetch the scriptures gained a hundred-year-old Imperial Tutor and three strange young men and women.

A story of a mastermind behind the scenes. Watch as the Imperial Tutor toys with the heavenly immortals and Buddhas, fighting to win the human race a share of fate that belongs to them.
