Great Qin: Don't Be Ridiculous, I'm Really Not a Disciple of Guiguzi

In the 34th year of the First Emperor's reign, Shen Chen unexpectedly transmigrated to the Qin Dynasty. While waiting for the System to come off cooldown, he opened a small tavern.

That year, locusts ravaged the land. Someone spread rumors that the First Emperor had done something wrong, and Heaven was sending a warning. Enraged, the First Emperor ordered books burned and scholars buried alive.

Rumors spread among the people: the locust plague was retribution for the First Emperor's purge of books and scholars. Then a meteor fell from the sky, bearing the words, "The First Emperor shall die, and the land will be divided."

That same day, Zheng Ge and Old Meng, regular customers at Shen Chen's shop, came by again. Zheng Ge casually asked Shen Chen what he thought of the purge of books and scholars.

"Burning books and burying scholars? Just an excuse some people use to slander the First Emperor!"

"Then how should we deal with the remnants of the Six Kingdoms?"

"Establish the imperial examination system!"

"And how should the Great Qin defend itself against foreign enemies?"

"Don't rush it. Take things step by step!"

Zheng Ge was delighted. "You must be a disciple of Guigu!"
