I, Xu Fu, Awoke After a Thousand Years

Long ago, bearing an edict from Qin Shi Huang, Xu Fu led three thousand boys and girls across the sea to search for the immortal isle of Penglai, hoping to find an elixir of eternal life.

Xu Fu lived up to expectations and eventually found Penglai. But as the price for obtaining the elixir, the immortals forced him to stay and train in their arts as a mortal disciple.

After mastering the immortals' arts and obtaining the elixir, Xu Fu remained true to his original purpose. Just as he was preparing to return to Great Qin and present the elixir to Qin Shi Huang, Penglai was invaded by enemies. To preserve the only immortal vein in the mortal realm, the immortals of Penglai sealed Xu Fu beneath the sea off the coast of Dongying before activating the Primordial World-Destroying Formation and perishing alongside their foes. This was how he escaped the cataclysm that devastated the world.

When the seal was broken and Xu Fu awoke from a sleep of more than two thousand years, the entire island nation of Dongying was shaken!
