My Husband's Trap: A Marriage Hunt

They had been married for three years.

People said that marriage ended with one hand touching the other. But whenever she touched Zheng Zhichen, her heart still skipped a beat.

Maybe it was because she had chosen him herself.

Back then, the Su family had lined up enough arranged-match candidates to fill an A4 sheet. She rejected them all, yet at a party she found herself looking twice at Zheng Zhichen. He stood in a corner with a glass in his hand, hardly saying a word. When he smiled, a faint dimple appeared on his left cheek.

Her father said she had lost her mind.

She admitted it. She had lost her mind, and had been for years. She still hadn’t come to her senses.

She had been twenty-six that year, standing at the edge of the crowd in a navy-blue dress, feeling like someone put on display for people to choose from. But that day, she had been the one to look at him first. She had never told anyone. It would have seemed undignified.

The rosemary plant on the windowsill, which she had been tending for more than half a year, drooped listlessly. Lately, she kept forgetting to water it, much like this house: it clearly needed looking after, yet she was the only one watering it.

The bathroom door opened.
