Fairy Tail: Simulating the Future to Defy Irene's Tragic Fate

After the Dragon Legion trampled the Kingdom of Arthur, its forces turned toward the Kingdom of Doraghnov. Queen Erin personally led her army to the frontier, with Lyle and the newly formed Dragon Slayer Corps accompanying her. Thanks to his Future Simulator, he had already seen how this war would end: he and Erin struggling to hold out against the dragons, a Wise Dragon fighting to the death to protect its allies, and the black calamity that would eventually descend and swallow everything.

Knowing the script in advance didn't mean he could easily turn things around. Dragon might and bodies gave them far too little of an advantage to sweep through an age ruled by dragons. The Dragon Legion was only the first hurdle. A shadow still lurked in the future, looming over everyone's fate. But Lyle had never intended to live out his life along the same path. He would save Erin on the battlefield, and over the long years to come, keep her from the betrayal and imprisonment brought on by her transformation into a dragon.

The Wise Dragon's pact was still being upheld, the first traces of Dragon Slayer Magic had only just appeared, and the Queen still rode at the head of her army. There was still a chance to change the future. He intended to pull back, one by one, all those destined for regret.
