American Comics: Transmigrate as Ned and Study Mystical Arts Under the Ancient One

In Queens, New York, a three-hundred-pound fat guy pats Peter on the chest and promises him a surprise. No one knows that he's already set his sights on Kamar-Taj, atop the Himalayas. He has to learn magic, no matter what.

But fate gives him no chance to take things step by step. Standing at the entrance to the New York Sanctum, he's just worked out how to make his entrance when the bald Sorcerer Supreme, who shouldn't have appeared at this point, steps out. The Ancient One merely touches his soul, and she sees through the strange things about him that even he doesn't fully understand. Then, in front of everyone, a bright red cloak wraps itself affectionately around his portly shoulders.

At Kamar-Taj, Mordo thinks he's just an overweight otaku apprentice who needs to be trained from scratch. That is, until Ned finishes reading all the basic manuals in a single day and casually tears open a portal in the library. The Ancient One personally guides him to the edge of the multiverse, where he glimpses darkness that has yet to arrive. Ned knows that Thanos will come one day, and before the Ancient One falls, he must forge himself into a variable capable of rewriting the endgame.
