War of Resistance: A Red Alert Base Rewrites the Fall of Rehe

Jiang Fan transmigrates to March 2, 1933, with just 48 hours left before Chengde falls. Tang Yulin has already abandoned the city and fled, while 128 Japanese cavalrymen are racing toward Chengde.

When Wu Qianshan leads 300 traitors in an attempt to seize the city under cover of night, they are greeted by the crossfire of MG34 general-purpose machine guns and M2HB heavy machine guns. All 300 are wiped out in less than half an hour. But the Japanese 14th Mixed Brigade, their true main force, is advancing from Pingquan: 5,000 men and more than 20 aircraft. Hattori Heijiro swears he will flatten Chengde.

Jiang Fan immediately deploys eighteen BT-7 fast tanks, nine 105 mm howitzers, and a newly formed antiaircraft battalion equipped with Oerlikon 20 mm autocannons and 88 mm flak guns. They turn the Japanese dive-bombers into fireballs across the sky. When a flood of tanks sweeps in from the flank and crushes the Japanese artillery positions, the 5,000 Kwantung Army troops discover that their Type 38 rifles cannot even penetrate the BT-7's armor. While the Japanese are still using Type 92 infantry guns, Jiang Fan is already preparing to build 150 mm FH-18 howitzers.
