Great Ming: The Spring Examination Questions Leak, So I Change Them and Drive the Candidates Mad

During the Hongwu era, with the spring imperial examinations approaching, Ye Xuan transmigrates into the role of an exam official at the Ministry of Rites. He binds to the Fame System from the start and is ready to make his mark when he learns the exam questions have been leaked! Under Zhu Yuanzhang's killing blade, none of the officials involved will survive. At the last possible moment, Ye Xuan slams his hand on the table: Change the questions! And so:

Question One: "If Confucius and Mencius got into a fight, who would you help, and why?"

Question Two: "The ruler's wife, Yang Huo wants."

Question Three: "Could a human not be inferior to a bird? The Book of Songs says: 'Solemn and majestic was King Wen.'"

The candidates break down on the spot: "Can anyone even answer these questions?!"

When the exam ends and the doors of the examination hall open, thousands of candidates rush out wailing and kneel together before Zhu Yuanzhang. "Your Majesty, please, never let Ye Xuan set the questions again!"

The news spreads across the capital. Literary giants scramble to interpret the questions, but every one of them fails. Crown Prince Zhu Biao himself asks for an explanation, only to be left questioning his own life. Zhu Yuanzhang, however, is overjoyed and rewards Ye Xuan lavishly. "He is a pillar of the empire!"

Yet when Ye Xuan sees his Fame value soaring in the System, he furrows his brow. The leaked exam questions and the mastermind behind it have only just begun to emerge...
