Military Industry: With an STC in Hand, I Build Anti-Aircraft Vehicles at a Farm Machinery Factory

Lin Can is reborn in 1990 in Xia Country after living in the Martian Mechanicum of Warhammer 40K. He becomes the acting director of the bankrupting Xiaduo Agricultural Machinery Factory. The factory has only 100,000 yuan in cash, sells four tractors in three months, and its three major shareholders are eager to sell it and split the proceeds. He slaps the table and signs a wager: produce a new product and secure orders within six months, or give up his management rights.

Then he pulls out a stack of blueprints, showing a four-barreled self-propelled antiaircraft gun. "Tracked agricultural artificial-rain vehicle, also equipped for high-altitude bird and pest control." Zhang Wei, the technical director, stares at the hound-shaped machine spirit and fire-control radar on the plans, his lips trembling. "Director, even the country's active-duty forces don't have this thing!"

Lin Can doesn't care. He studies the blueprints, pulls together a budget, commissions radar from a state-owned electronics group, and personally oversees the furnace for the gun steel. Before the prototype even rolls off the production line, the situation in the Gulf has become explosive. Iraq claims to be the world's third-strongest power and is standing up to Eagle Sauce. His job is to get this "farm machine" into the hands of the oil barons before the war begins in January 1991.
