Bright Sword: Taking Command of the New Second Regiment and Outshining Li Yunlong

Lu Chuan transmigrates into the War of Resistance and takes charge from the start of the New Second Regiment, the worst-equipped unit around: over 900 men with just 300 battered rifles, 3,000 rounds, and not a single heavy machine gun. But he has a Attribute Enhancement System. With the golden Tactical Master trait boosting morale, half a month of formation drills, and a night raid, they wipe out a puppet army stronghold and capture 7,000 rounds and five light machine guns.

The Japanese launch a retaliatory sweep, but Lu Chuan advances instead of retreating. The Second Battalion lays a hundred land mines overnight, stopping a Japanese company dead in its tracks with the first wave of blasts. Xu Danian leads an assault platoon to lure the enemy deeper. The Japanese company commander charges after them with his sword drawn, straight into the trap. Machine guns fire from the hills on both sides, grenade launchers rain down precise barrages, and the New Second Regiment encircles the enemy from three sides.

Meanwhile, Kong Jie of the Independent Regiment holds the line to cover the civilians' retreat, while Li Yunlong's New First Regiment circles around and attacks from the flank. For the first time, the three forces of northwest Shanxi fight together, wiping out an entire Japanese company without leaving a trace. After the battle, the brigade commander slaps the table and laughs. "That kid Lu Chuan causes even more trouble than Li Yunlong!"
