Zenless Zone Zero: Talismans at My Side, Hand in Hand with the Shark Thiren Wife

"He was sent flying on the spot while repairing a circuit breaker. When he opened his eyes, he was standing at an engagement ceremony. Cao Yu swore he would never get married on a whim. Then he saw his fiancée, Ellen Joe, and her swaying shark tail made his heart race. 'I'll take this fight!'"

His weekly sign-in reward arrives right on time, and he gets all twelve talismans embedded in him from the start. The Rat Talisman brings objects to life, the Rabbit Talisman gives him insane speed, the Monkey Talisman turns someone into a salted fish with a single click, and the Pig Talisman's eye lasers sweep everything away. Five armed criminals at a movie theater are all lying flat in three seconds. Ellen grabs his arm and says she'll protect him, only to discover that her fiancé is the real monster.

When everyone from Victoria Housekeeping is trapped deep inside a Hollow and thirty armed thugs fire cannons at them, Cao Yu strides through the air. The Rooster Talisman keeps him hovering in midair, the Snake Talisman lets him sneak around invisible, and the Dog Talisman gives him an immortal body that withstands explosions. "You dared lay a finger on my wife? You're finished."

With a shark wife and talismans at his side, Zenless Zone Zero will bear the Cao name from today on. A deus ex machina? No, this is the advent of the talismans.
