Food Wars!: I Command the Heavens' Chef Chat Group and Challenge Tadokoro Megumi

Liu Xing transmigrates into the world of Food Wars! and inherits the rundown Chinese restaurant his uncle left behind: just thirty-two square meters, ten million yuan in debt, and directly across from Totsuki Academy. The school offers two hundred million yen to buy it, but Liu Xing thinks the price is too low. They sneer, "Let a Shokugeki decide the winner."

At the crucial moment, the chat group for chefs across the myriad heavens activates, and its first invitee is Yuan Zhou, the famous food supplier. Chef Yuan sends over a bowl of superb egg fried rice. Liu Xing drops to his knees on the spot. "Master, take me as your disciple!" Yuan Zhou replies coldly, "No chance. One week of intensive training. I'll only teach you Sichuan-style base seasonings."

After burning through 150,000 yen worth of ingredients in seven days and dumping more than a hundred failed batches, Liu Xing finally produces a mala hot pot base that clears the passing mark, just in time. His Shokugeki opponent is Megumi Tadokoro from the junior high division, so nervous that she writes the character for "person" on her palm and eats it to calm herself down. Liu Xing sets a pot on the stove and adds the ingredients. Sticky rice cake chilies, Pixian doubanjiang, and freshly ground Sichuan pepper go in one after another, unleashing a burst of numbing spice that fills the entire venue.

Yuan Zhou's final message reads, "The noodles are bamboo-pressed noodles. Boil them for three minutes." Liu Xing pours on the red-oil sauce and presents the dish to the judges:

"Chinese cuisine: mala hot pot noodles. Please enjoy."
