Movie Crossover: Li Yunlong’s Youngest Son Turns Liu Feng’s Tragedy Around

After transmigrating to 1977, Li Qihua becomes Li Yunlong's youngest son. His father has been promoted to general, and his big brother is a colonel and deputy division commander, while he is sent to an arts troupe in the Yunnan Military Region to temper his character. When he wakes up, he discovers that this is a world blending Drawing Sword, Youth, and The Wreaths at the Foot of the Mountain.

The children of influential families in the troupe band together and exclude outsiders. When He Xiaoping first arrives, they complain that her clothes smell. Li Qihua takes her coat and asserts his authority in front of everyone: "Anyone who starts a clique will answer to me." Liu Feng tries to be everyone's good guy and gets called over even when a pig escapes from the cooking unit. Li Qihua grabs him by the arm. "Stop taking responsibility for every stupid little thing."

During a morale-boosting performance near the front lines of an exercise, he runs into Liang Sanxi, who thinks the troupe's stage and singing will give away their position. Li Qihua chimes in: "Company Commander Liang is right. Staying concealed comes first." He casually shares a few ideas from modern tactics, and Liang Sanxi's eyes light up. "Transfer to my Ninth Company. You'll start as a squad leader!"

Li Qihua stands at attention and salutes.

"Reporting, Company Commander. I'll report for duty as soon as I've filed my transfer request."
