Honkai Impact 3rd: From the Start, I Forge a Soul-Steel Blade and Bind the Herrscher of Void's Remnant Soul

On the day Honkai breaks out in Changkong City, Lin Yu cuts his way through a tide of the dead with an alloy katana, then smashes through the blast door of Chiyu Laboratory with an Assault-class Honkai Beast. He activates the Soul Steel furnace in the underground armory to forge a divine weapon named Starwhisper. The moment its energy spirals out of control, Honkai Energy floods his body, a crimson stigmata appears on the back of his hand, and his consciousness plunges into another dimension.

"I am Noval, the Second Herrscher of the Previous Era." A translucent apparition hovers amid the starlight. "You awakened the remnant soul I sealed within Soul Steel. From now on, I am your weapon spirit."

When Starwhisper leaves its sheath, its pale blue blade devours Honkai Energy and charges itself. It comes with spatial storage, shape-shifting, and Herrscher-level combat experience. Lin Yu rushes out of the laboratory and runs into Kiana, who is dragging Mei through the streets as they flee. A Chariot-class Honkai Beast has been chasing them for three blocks. Lin Yu flicks his wrist, Starwhisper transforms into a blade, and he steps in front of the beast.

"A Herrscher-level blade against a Chariot-class beast. This'll do."

Bronya's Project Bunny locks onto the target from the flank. All three girls look up at the brown-haired boy. Lin Yu grins back at them.

"Don't just stand there. Let's go!"
