Anime Crossover: Fishing for Eiri at Nine, Yukino Breaks My Heart

After transmigrating as a five-year-old, Yuan Qianye binds to the God's-Eye-View System, where an exclamation mark means a quest. He helps Yukino Yukinoshita find the white shoes someone hid, maxes out her affection, and from then on spends every day by her side passively picking up skills: Japanese, English, piano, aikido. The list is as long as a shopping cart.

Around a corner, he runs into Ai Hayasaka chasing a dog and retrieving a notebook. In a rooftop corner, he finds Eriri Sawamura, who has been mocked into hiding in a storage room. He hands her a tissue and casually recites the character profile of Magical Girl Momo-chan. Eriri's eyes widen in tears: "The top student is a fellow fan?!"

Yukino's older sister, Haruno, blocks his way by the stairs. "You're using my little sister Yukino to farm skills, aren't you?" Yuan Qianye doesn't so much as blink. "I'm just an ordinary childhood-friend collector." Haruno's smile grows even brighter. "The drama club's script. Are you planning to give me a role too?"

Yuan Qianye glances back at the line of girls with blonde, black, and pink hair, then says softly:

"Who isn't a childhood friend? I'm just especially good at... picking them up."
