Anime Crossover: Cursed Cooking, Where Instant Noodles Beat the God’s Tongue

Nomiya and Yukinoshita Yukino are childhood friends who understand each other's feelings. They were supposed to marry someday, until the day she plunged a knife through his heart, simply because she saw her sister kiss him.

Back when they were nine, she would beat people bloody on his behalf, and Sawamura Eriri was sitting by the river when he hooked her out with a fishing rod. At sixteen, in the music room at dusk, Yukino finishes playing "Golden Hour," and Nomiya says, "I'm watching you. You're more beautiful than the piano music." On the rooftop, they share their lunch; every day, his indoor shoes are hooked up with a fishing hook; and when an alligator comes ashore, the three of them run away hand in hand.

By the fire, Nomiya roasts a bed leg and mutters to himself, "If you're going to die, fine, but at least tell me where she is." Kato Megumi says, "I only like the moonlight that shines on me." Nomiya replies, "No matter how beautiful the stars are, they can't compare to the moonlight shining on me."

That day finally comes, and the blade sinks into his chest. Nomiya looks down at the wound and grins. "I knew you'd be the one to kill me."
