Pokemon: With Two Elite Four Parents, the System Tells Me Not to Overwork Myself

Gu Moran had been saddled with the label "son of two Elite Four members" for eighteen years. His father, Gu Qianshan, the Dragon-type Elite Four member, and his mother, Zhou Xueqi, the Ice-type Elite Four member, pressured him every day to pick a type. One said Dragon-type was the only way to go, the other said Ice-type was the future. Gu Moran just wanted to roll his eyes. "I want both."

He hadn't even used the Legendary Pokemon Encounter Ticket from the System sign-in when an Alolan Vulpix hatched, with S potential and the Snow Warning Ability. An Alolan Ninetales personally trained it. His friend Bai Yi brought out a Hakamo-o to challenge him, only for Gabite to knock it flat with a single Dragon Claw. He finished the written exam in half an hour, then instantly defeated Simisear with Freeze-Dry in a battle. The proctor gave him a perfect score on the spot.

The Viridian Forest dungeon event was activated. In two days, Alolan Vulpix rocketed from level six to level thirteen. The Scyther boss was left reeling after Gabite split it open with a single move, and seven-star grass earned them an Ice Beam TM. When a System mystery box produced a Kubfu, the time-flow bug had just been fixed. A three-to-one ratio was still plenty. On the way back, Alolan Vulpix affectionately rubbed against Gu Moran's palm. Looking out the window, he thought: Ash hadn't even been born yet, but his own journey to Victory Road no longer needed anyone else's aura to light the way.
