Hong Kong Crossover: Paying to Upgrade Skills, I Rule Hong Kong's Film Industry

After the System binds to him and he transmigrates into the young Duan Kun, he starts out tied up like a dumpling by kidnappers, with Le Huizhen, the only daughter of Lok Chun-hung, sitting beside him.

As the lines from the scumbag Hui begin to ring in his ears, Duan Kun takes a deep breath. "System! Max out my levels!"

His skill list is full of Mandarin, math, and physics. The only useful skill, hand-to-hand combat, is rendered useless by his ropes.

Luckily, the System temporarily unlocks "Escape Art," but at LV.2 he can't break the kidnappers' knots. With death looming, Duan Kun gets an idea and sets his sights on the jade bangle worth 250,000 dollars on Le Huizhen's wrist.

After some sweet-talking and deception, he gets the wealth points he needs, and Escape Art jumps straight to LV.3.

He unties himself, picks the lock, and slips out of the wooden house in one smooth sequence. But just after escaping, he stumbles into a firefight between Blackwater mercenaries and the kidnappers, with the police closing in from behind.

A down-and-out student from Shengyuqiang Middle School, armed with a pay-to-upgrade System, fights his way to survival in a crossover world crowded with Hong Kong movie big shots.
