Hogwarts: I Told You to Farm Merit, So How Did You Become the Dark Lord?

Li Weide transmigrates to London in 1938, becoming an eleven-year-old orphan. Just as he confirms that he has magic, Tom Riddle kicks down his door to pick a fight. With a simple gesture, Li pins the future Dark Lord face-down on the floor, unable to move. His Merit System activates at the same time: do good deeds to earn rewards from the shop, and achieve the Dark Lord title to ascend to godhood on the spot. On his first night, he uses the Petrificus Totalus curse to freeze the snake Tom sent to spy on him, then smacks Tom on the back of the head. Humiliating damage, 10 merit points.

Dumbledore arrives with an acceptance letter, and Tom's wardrobe catches fire right there and then, while Li watches with great interest. On the way to Diagon Alley, they run into human traffickers. Tom loses his temper and unleashes his magic, blasting two of them away. Li finishes things off with a petrification spell, then turns around and raids their hideout, rescuing the kidnapped children. Do good deeds, earn merit points: 200. The System shop refreshes with a top-grade memory potion. Grindelwald's shadow is closing in, and Li's merit points keep piling up, but the progress bar for achieving the Dark Lord title does not budge. Tom crouches in a corner, grinding his teeth. "You call that being a good person?"
