Pokemon: The Limited-Edition Friend Ball, Raising the Divine Mewtwo

After transmigrating into the Pokemon world, Yeyuan binds himself to the "Top-Tier Star Trainer System."

On the eve of his sixteenth birthday, flames explode across the sky. Two Legendary Pokemon are fighting furiously in the mountains behind Jiangcheng. Deoxys is level 70 and at full health, while Rayquaza is level 30 and getting pummeled. Hyper Beam clashes with Mirror Coat, nearly flattening the entire forest.

Clutching a rare, limited-edition Friend Ball, he hides at the edge of a crater as the System displays the capture panel: Rayquaza is on the verge of death, with a seven-star capture difficulty.

He throws an ordinary Pokeball, and it explodes on impact.

Rayquaza looks up in a rage. He turns and runs, and only dares to look back and catch his breath two kilometers later. The next day, he walks into a shopping mall with his trainer license. Charmander, Pikachu, and Eevee bounce around in glass cabinets lining the walls, but all he can think of is that green dragon's gaze. Ye Mu tugs his arm. "Bro, which one are you picking?" He stares at the tray of Starter Pokemon the clerk brings out, when the System suddenly displays:

"A hidden resonance has been detected. We recommend checking the store's special section first."

He looks up. In the corner of the top shelf, an egg covered in cracks is glowing faintly.
