Hogwarts: Uncontrolled Magic Triggers a Dark Calamity

Esmeralda Trist, an abandoned baby, was adopted twice and returned twice, because things kept flying through the air for no reason and animals were always gathering around her. On her twelfth birthday, her Hogwarts acceptance letter burst through the window, and her Wizard System activated at the same time. Occlumency was installed directly into her mind, and her magical reserves far beyond those of her peers let her take up a yew wand with a phoenix feather core at Ollivander's. The fireworks bursting from its tip even made McGonagall applaud.

But Ada couldn't bring herself to be happy. She remembered that Harry Potter's story took place in the 1990s, that Voldemort would crawl out of the shadows, and that Death Eaters, war, and death were waiting. The hard days at the orphanage had taught her one thing: in this world, if you lack strength, you deserve to be trampled. The System interface labeled her "hopelessly weak." Ollivander warned her not to let power consume her, and there was just one thing left on her shopping list: a Daily Prophet tucked inside a secondhand textbook, its front-page photograph of Dumbledore winking at her. The bells of 1991 were about to ring, and sooner or later the Dark Mark would appear in the sky again.
