NBA: I Have Millions of Haters, Yet Become a Basketball God

Ye Chu is reborn in 2009 with the "Hater System." From the start, he declares, "LeBron James is only good enough to be my sidekick," earning a flood of abuse and Hater Points across the internet. In his debut against top prospect Griffin, he hammers down a tomahawk dunk from the free-throw line, swats away his opponent with a head-on block, and scores 33 points in the first half without missing a shot, leading his team to crush the opposition by 28. After the game, he tells the cameras, "I'm the biggest prospect in this draft class." His Hater Points surge, and he promptly trades them for a skill pack, sending his three-point percentage soaring.

Curry follows his lead, and the two form the "Davidson Splash Brothers," averaging 54 points together. Yao Ming comes to watch in person. Ye Chu posterizes Thabeet, swats away the second-best center in the nation, and scores 44 points, rewriting an NCAA record. ESPN ranks him ninth in the lottery, and he immediately fires back: "I should be in the top three." The internet's haters go wild, and Ye Chu watches the numbers skyrocket. The harsher the insults, the stronger he gets. While the rest of the league still lets its skills do the talking, this Chinese small forward, leveling up with Hater Points, has already secured the number-one draft pick.
