Seafaring: Qiongqi Descends, and the Rocks Pirates Unleash Calamity

At the age of seven, Luo Ya became an apprentice on the Rocks Pirates.

Not through connections, and not through luck. He himself was a calamity. Qiongqi had descended into the world, born alongside disaster: its roar summoned storms, its horns called down lightning and fire, and the beat of its wings raised tsunamis. When it flew into a rage, the earth split and mountains crumbled.

More terrifying still, he could see the evil thoughts deep in people's hearts, amplify their fear, and stir up murderous intent, turning living people into obedient servants of the dead. Pain, despair, and breakdowns were all nourishment for his growth.

When Golden Lion took him to massacre an island, he crouched on the ship's rail and fed on the wailing as if it were a meal. When Whitebeard took a dislike to him, he grinned and hid to watch the two monsters beat each other up. When Katakuri was lost over how to protect his younger sister, a few words from him set the future Sweet Commander straight.

"Sorry, I'm not here to bring peace to this world. I'm here to throw it into total chaos."

From apprentice on Hachinosu to the embodiment of calamity, Luo Ya used Qiongqi's power to turn the Rocks Pirates' final days into the deepest abyss of the entire era. When those black eyes opened, the natural disaster had only just begun.
