My Lady, Where Are You?

Qian Dafu and Liu Bitong are neighbors. Liu Bitong's husband is a doctor, and they are all people of the Song dynasty. Qian Dafu is a rich second-generation heir. His family has plenty of money, and he is lazy and womanizing. He is always having an affair with one woman's wife or another. Everyone hates him, but he is exceptionally good at sweet-talking people, and often manages to fool every man and woman around. They nickname him "Sa Wujii." Sa Wujii often harasses Liu Bitong, a remarkable woman who is well versed in poetry and the classics. She is very beautiful, and although her family is poor, she and her husband Feng Xiang are deeply in love. Feng Xiang often charges the people nearby very little to treat their illnesses. She is his disciple. Later, Qian Dafu kills himself because he cannot win Liu Bitong's affections no matter what he tries. Before he dies, he writes a final letter, and Liu Bitong reports him to the authorities. The county magistrate later decides that, for the sake of fairness, Qian Dafu's family should be rounded up and executed. Liu Bitong and Feng Xiang live happily until they reach "Nirvana."
