The Canglan Realm: I Transmigrated and Was Forced to Become the Savior

A hundred years ago, the sky above the Canglan Realm had no ionosphere.

In those days, people could see the true river of stars. It was not a blurry band of light like the one in textbook illustrations. Stars fell in countless clusters, trailing fiery tails as they crashed into the earth. The historical records say: "Stars fell like rain for three months without end. Mountains and rivers turned black, and all life suffered." No one knew where the stars came from. People only knew that after they fell, the earth split open into chasms, from which black fog poured forth. Hidden in the fog was "Sun-Eater," an ancient evil god that fed on star marrow and opposed all order.

To seal Sun-Eater away, three hundred Star Commanders used their lives as a catalyst, forging the star marrow into chains and driving them into the planet's core. Their blood soaked the land, becoming the "Star Commander bloodline" of later generations; their souls scattered across the firmament and formed the "Star Paths," the "eyes" through which later Star Commanders sensed stellar energy.

On the day Sun-Eater was sealed, bells rang between heaven and earth. The surviving Star Commanders erected a stele on Starfall Plain and carved these words into it: "While star marrow endures, Sun-Eater shall not awaken; while the Light Pact remains unseen, all life shall endure."
