The Wanderer of Green Mountain

Modern doctor Ruan Nanning unexpectedly transmigrates to the Great Yin Dynasty. The moment he arrives, Xue Lingchen, a concubine-born daughter of the Prime Minister's household, sets him up, poisoning him with a potent aphrodisiac. In desperation, he flees into the Green Mountains, where he encounters the swordsman Murong Jiutian, who has secluded himself there to train.

Murong Jiutian is actually the Fourth Prince, raised outside the palace. In his youth, he learned peerless martial arts in the Green Mountains from the reclusive master Chu Yifan. Though gifted with extraordinary skills, he cares deeply about the principles of the martial world. He sees that although Ruan Nanning knows no martial arts, he can use modern medicine to protect himself in an emergency. He also suspects that the poisoning conceals a political conspiracy involving the Prime Minister's household, so he resolves to help.

In search of an antidote, the two travel together from the hidden reaches of the Green Mountains to the shadowy alleys of the capital, unraveling one mystery after another. The true motive behind Xue Lingchen's poisoning, Chu Yifan's hidden past, and the court's secret plots against the prince all come to light. Ruan Nanning uses modern medical knowledge to analyze the poison and interpret clues, while Murong Jiutian protects him with his martial skills and intimidates the villains. Modern thinking and the chivalrous spirit of the martial world spark a remarkable chemistry.
