Disordered Code: My Forensic Partner

In the fictional future metropolis of Akasha, the cool and restrained genius police officer Ling Che is forced to team up with Gu Fei, a cold-blooded, unhinged top forensic examiner, to investigate a series of bizarre cases involving the theft of energy from ability users.

Ling Che hates losing control, while Gu Fei takes pleasure in chaos. What Ling Che finds even harder to accept is that he has begun to rely on the madman. Only when he is near Gu Fei does the unfamiliar and powerful force within him grow restless, granting him insight beyond all reason.

When a string of murders leads to a mastermind known as "the Collector," and undercurrents within the PCIB conspire to make Gu Fei the scapegoat, Ling Che must choose between reason and instinct. He gradually discovers that his "Heart of Ten Thousand Machines" ability, which can awaken only with Gu Fei's help, is the key to breaking the case.

Two powerful men join forces, using reason to parse disorder and madness to interrogate the truth. Before conspiracy can swallow the city whole, they must uncover the most insane secret hidden beneath its perfect order.
