The Heavenly Dao Wants Me to Be a Fool

Overworked office drone Lin Fugui wakes up in a blended world of The Gallant and Heroic Shen Jianxin and My Senior Brother Has a Hole in His Head, as a junior disciple of Chunyang Palace. He thinks he'll be able to cultivate immortality, seek the Dao, and live freely, avenging wrongs as he pleases. Instead, he gets bound to the "Goofball Possession" System and is forced to complete absurd daily tasks: singing folk songs to the sect leader, hiding Shen Jianxin's wig, gluing Senior Brother's mouth shut... Everyone at Chunyang Palace gradually gets used to it: "What stunt is Fugui pulling today?" Lin Fugui struggles to survive the daily humiliations, relying on bizarre items awarded by the System to protect himself. Then the demonic cult's army bears down on them, Chunyang Palace is on the verge of ruin, the sect leader is gravely wounded, and his senior brother is exhausted. Just as everyone despairs, Lin Fugui silently pulls out a pile of "goofball" items: a suona that makes people dance awkwardly without stopping, glue that paralyzes whoever it sticks to, and a folk-song scroll that makes anyone who sings it go off-key... And, without meaning to, he saves the world. Faced with everyone's shocked stares, Lin Fugui hugs his freshly awarded "invincible yo-yo" and sighs: "I really don't want to be a hero, but the System gives me... way too much stuff."
