I'm a Director, and I'll Take You All Back to Your Youth

With short dramas all the rage, especially dramas aimed at older viewers, the market is huge. There are 300 million elderly people, and if 30 million of them watch your short dramas, you'll make a fortune. A company invited Li Xinyi, a female screenwriter and director, to produce several short dramas for older viewers, and she readily agreed. She cared deeply about realism in life, believing that artistic truth must also come from real life. So she went to parks and nursing homes and held several discussion groups, asking the seniors what kind of short dramas they wanted to see. After hearing the wishes of dozens of older people, she was astonished. It turned out that more than anything, they wanted to escape their everyday lives and, like young people, transmigrate, or even live their lives over again.
