Siheyuan: My Crosstalk Debut

A literary youth named A Yuan lives in a traditional courtyard home and strives to become an internet celebrity. The plot is absurd and hilarious, yet rich in meaning and worthy of reflection. It's a comedy that will make today's young artsy types cry.

A Yuan is actually a pen name. He uses it to write online articles revealing his secrets, web novels, and comedy routines. He's become somewhat well known in the online literary scene.

A young intellectual from the bottom of the city, a bit of a hotheaded idealist, A Yuan is determined to become a master. He even writes a motto to motivate himself: “Are masters and big shots born special?”

Yes, hard work might not lead to success, but without hard work, success is impossible.

A Yuan writes about all the misfortunes and awkward moments he encounters, then turns them into stand-up comedy. In the end, this is what makes him. A Yuan becomes famous overnight and truly turns into an internet celebrity. He gets a home and a girlfriend. Of course, nobody's pursuit of success goes smoothly. A Yuan continues to face hardships and obstacles.

A Yuan hates the small-minded attitude of laughing at the poor and begrudging the rich. He's not the type to play mahjong, eat, drink, and have fun while cursing everyone and blaming the heavens for his troubles.
