Siheyuan: Heaven-Defying Comprehension and the Shrewd He Yuzhu

After transmigrating to the early days of the new nation, He Yuzhu gets a second chance at life and decides to change his fate.

With his heaven-defying insight, he leaves the riffraff of the courtyard world far behind.

He shows off his skills at Cuihua Restaurant, then studies a picture and figures out how to make dishes fit for a state banquet. This chef sure knows a lot.

"Comrade He Yuzhu, would you like to join our Chefs' Association? We're looking for a vice-chairman."

During renovations in the courtyard, he studies a corner tower and figures out Lu Ban's methods. Did one person really design and build this whole structure?

"Engineer He, these are the plans for the Great Hall. Could you check whether anything needs improving?"

One day, Xu Damao drives the Rain-brand car he bought with his life savings back to the courtyard, showing it off to everyone.

"This is the best car in our country. Anyone who can drive one in the whole of Beijing is somebody. And as luck would have it, I'm one of them now."

But He Yushui simply says, "Do you know why it's called the Rain brand? No? My name is He Yushui, and my brother is He Yuzhu!"
